Leo & Lily Eatery- Market- Cafe

     It was time for good friend Andrea and I to find a place for our every few months get together and it was decided that we should try Leo & Lily.  A friend had suggested this venue in Woodland Hills as a fine place to dine and guaranteed that this place had excellent food.  Located at 22420 Ventura Blvd. Leo & Lily was hard to spot as we crept up the boulevard and found it near the White Harte Pub nestled in an alcove.  As we drove onto the street where it is located, we noticed Valet Parking and kept driving and driving to find a parking spot.  Forget it.
     On one side of the street there is no parking allowed and on the other side the vehicles parked in such a way that was no room to fit another car into.  They left a few feet in front of their cars!  Finally finding a spot near the White Harte, we headed toward Leo & Lily.   Once we arrived there a male tried to shove his way ahead of us and give his name before us, Andrea put an end to that real fast.  As I spotted people migrating to this place I asked "Is this place worth it?" and each person said "Yes!"  This place is the current trendy place to eat and is well attended which is another word for crowded.
    There wasn't a long wait to get inside, but the male that had tried to get in before Andrea and I was still at it.  He pestered the hostess and maitre d' to get in ahead of us.  This person really seemed to be full of himself and convinced that he was indeed someone.  In other words a legend in his own mind.  Interestingly enough, he did possess quite a smug look on his face.
    Once we were seated Andrea ordered a salmon breakfast dish much like eggs benedict  and I ordered a Greek Salad with corn and salmon.  The service was very good and we had our drinks pronto and our food arrived shortly.  The stated goal of this place is to provide their clients with a fusion of European and Mediterranean flavors and Musings must inject that they did just that.  The dishes were excellent and greatly worth the arrogance of the interloping male.
    After a large table of cackling females adjourned their court to the outside it was amazing how quiet this little gourmet infused cafe can be.  Andrea and I were both looking for cameras from a reality TV show thinking that surely these obnoxious women must be playing to the camera and spicing it up for their viewers, but no they were just being themselves for themselves.  No one in this place can be accused of over dressing as this is a casual dining environment.
     In a nut shell, Leo & Lily has an excellent European and Mediterranean fused menu and the food is awesome.  The only impediments to dining here is the cafe's clientele and the parking.  Neither of which this wonderful eatery has any control over.
